Jamaica Bound
After six years of no missionary presence on the island, AG Jamaican leadership has asked us to be the first returning missionaries and create a legacy of a sending nation.
Our mission for the next four years
1. Training and Planting at the Bible College
· Train students and graduates in missions and intercultural servanthood.
· Collaborating with Caribbean School of Theology in a seminar to train students to plant churches.
· Plant a church in nearby township of Porus as a practical application of a CST seminar. AG Bible School graduates and seasoned minsters will be planting churches in 4 other locations on the island.
2. Sending Jamaican Missionaries
· Collaborating with Jamaican AG leadership to create a missions program to vet and train missionaries who have expressed a God given call to minister in another country.
· Resourcing local churches to build a missions program to make a global impact through their missionaries.
3. Reaching Jamaicans in Limon, Costa Rica
· Collaborating with AGWM Missionaries and National Pastors in street outreaches and university ministry.
Steve and Pam's Ministry Background
The Livingston’s served in pastoral ministry at churches in Washington, Utah and Kansas, Steve has also served as a Christian counselor for 40 years. He holds a doctor degree.
Pam was heavily involved in children’s ministry in their pastoral tenure. She has served at the local, sectional and district level in Missionettes (Girls club) and has directed several children’s church programs as well as children’s outreaches involving drama and clown ministry. Pam earned her BA in Bible & Theology by attending the Bible Colleges while serving on the field. She is also an ordained minister.
Steve and Pam’s ministry in Jamaica was primarily two-fold. They both taught at the Assemblies of God Bible College in Christiana. Steve also served as the Dean of Students as well as on the Administrative Board. Additionally they were the directors for the drama “Heaven’s Gates, Hell’s Flames.” One pastor, who had been in the ministry in Jamaica for almost 50 years, stated this drama had been the most effective evangelistic ministry she had every seen.
The Livingston’s were asked to change the location of their ministry to the Bahamas in their third term where Steve served as the Academic Dean at the Bible College in Nassau. While there Pam and Steve began preparing for a Women’s Teen Challenge called Avenue of Hope. Pam worked alongside other Bahamian ministers to disciple women with criminal backgrounds on a bi-weekly basis.
For the last couple of years the Livingston’s have been a part of Personnel & Member Care in Springfield, MO. - training missionaries and providing resources that are vital to the longevity of our missionaries.
Your generous donations help vital Assemblies of God ministries and missionaries share the love of Jesus in cities and hometowns across the country, and throughout the world.
