Serving in Latin America Caribbean

Daniel and Beatriz Klaehn are veteran Missionary Educators who have served in Central America for 20 years. Daniel is originally from Strongsville, Ohio, while Beatriz is from San Salvador, El Salvador. They have two children, Mia (15 years) and James (12 years), both born in Managua where they have spent most of their Missionary career. The Klaehns just celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary last September.
In late-2010, the Nicaraguan Assemblies of God asked Daniel to direct the Central Bible Institute in Managua, which he accepted, and in 2011 the Klaehns began their 10-year ministry of directing the School. Teaching has not only afforded Daniel and Beatriz the opportunity to educate young minds, it has given them the opportunity to prepare, form, and influence the next generation of ministers and missionaries of the Assemblies of God of Nicaragua.
Of the many graduates of the Central Bible Institute, many serve today as pastors, associate pastors, youth and children’s workers, and deacons. A number have come back to teach at the Bible Institute, having gone on to earn their bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Other graduates serve with international ministries, such as ChildHope (LACC), Teen Challenge, and Deaf School Ministries, while others have become World Missionaries and even church planters in the U.S.
For the Klaehns, being Missionary Educators, although a more traditional role in missionary work, has taught them much about sowing and reaping, and patience and perseverance. It takes time to see the fruit of an educational ministry mature into something wonderful in the Lord. It takes hours and weeks and even years of investing the Word of the Lord in young men and women before the fruit of that work becomes evident and a harvest of grace, life, and responsibility appears. Education is a farmer’s work, for sure, and is not for the faint of heart. But, in the end, when the harvest is ripe and the fruit is ready, the results of one’s work becomes manifest as the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is blessed and edified by another servant-leader for the Kingdom of God. One plants, another waters, but it is the Lord who gives the growth. May all the glory, honor, and praise be unto our Lord for the work He is doing in the lives and ministry of the Klaehns.
Your generous donations help vital Assemblies of God ministries and missionaries share the love of Jesus in cities and hometowns across the country, and throughout the world.
