Serving in Eurasia

Short Version:
Since graduating from SAGU in 2015, I have been preparing to become a Missionary Associate through the Assemblies of God to Estonia. During that time I served both Bethel Church in Temple, TX and New Hope Church in Abilene, TX in children's ministry capacities to gain the experience and understanding of life in ministry. But, like Abram, God called me out of my comfort zone to an unknown land and to an unknown people!
Now I get to be a part of a church planting team in Estonia serving with Bob and Chrissy Godwin. As part of Life Church, we will exist to see people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. The people of Estonia have experienced the devastating effects of the rules and regulations of religion and have forgotten the joy and freedom of a relationship with Jesus. I'm so very excited to be a part of this ongoing process of discovering who Jesus is and God's plan for the lives of his children!
Long Version:
I’ve come to believe that my testimony begins with God’s faithfulness in the lives of my parents. I grew up attending Belton First Assembly of God in Belton, TX. I was dedicated in this church and accepted Jesus as my Savior at a Kid’s Crusade when I was 7. I went up every night of that Crusade to make sure it was real. I’ve been learning to follow Him more fully ever since.
I felt God tugging on my heart into missions while on my first mission trip in June 2010. During a worship service after a full day of school assemblies in El Salvador, I heard God saying, “This is what I have for you” in my heart. I thought I was just hyping up the moment, getting wrapped up in the emotions, so I was thinking I could stump him by asking him to confirm it. He immediately took my mind back to one of the assemblies earlier that day.
During the assemblies, we’d start with some group presentations from the front. During the gospel presentation we sat among the students and came back to the front to pray with everyone at the end. At one particular assembly, I felt that I needed to stay next to one boy instead of going back to the front. I prayed for specific issues with him, but nothing out of the ordinary happened.
God brought me back to this moment to say that he was calling out of what I thought was comfortable or conventional and into his purpose for my life. Since that time, I often go back to God’s calling of Abram to an unknown land and an unknown people, and a new identity!
Since then, I attended SAGU and graduated in 2015 with degrees in Intercultural Studies and Music. After meeting Bob and Chrissy Godwin, we stayed in contact and they invited me to join their church planting team in Estonia. It is so awesome to be a part of Life Church in Tallinn, Estonia! God's faithfulness and strength are evident every day, and I can only grow more and more dependent on him as we continue to build his church where it is not.
Your generous donations help vital Assemblies of God ministries and missionaries share the love of Jesus in cities and hometowns across the country, and throughout the world.
